I live in Adelaide, Australia and have been here since 1991. We left Durban, South Africa, for Australia in 1987. I grew up in East Africa, leaving Zanzibar in 1964 at the age of 16. I am 72 years old and my husband, Mervyn, is 82.
We are retired, living in a bungalow on a hillside overlooking Adelaide City with distant views to the sea. Our property consists of dry scrubland of eucalypts and olive trees. We are keen planters of trees and birdwatchers, travellers and readers. I also write: two novels about Africa have been published. Zanzibar Uhuru (2015), Shadow of the Hyena (2019).
